Fierce clashes broke out throughout Wednesday between the regime militia Difa al-Watani and the security forces of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Asayişh. After brief interruptions, clashes flared up again on Thursday night. The Baathist militia attacked several security checkpoints in the Tay neighbourhood in Qamishlo. The regime militia could be driven from other positions and several checkpoints and positions were taken as in the case the "Lilo" headquarters of Difa al-Watani, which was brought under the control of the internal security forces.
Temporary ceasefire
