TEV-DEM condemns Turkish drone attack in Kobanê

TEV-DEM issued a statement condemning the drone attack in Kobanê on Saturday and called for unity and enlargement of the struggle against the fascist Turkish state.

The Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) condemned the attack in which 2 people were killed and 7 people were injured as a result of the Turkish state's drone attack in Kobanê.

Stating that the Turkish state's attacks continue uninterrupted, TEV-DEM emphasized that the attack in Kobanê is the last of these attacks. TEV-DEM said that Turkish army aircraft were flying over Rojava for 24 hours and added that planes frequently attacked civilian vehicles.

Pointing out that Northern and Eastern Syria are under the threat of invasion as a whole, TEV-DEM added that the Turkish state is trying to invade Syria by committing war crimes.

TEV-DEM said: "The Turkish state respects no law. The world community is a witness to this."

The statement added that after the massacre in Zirgan, a new massacre was carried out in Kobanê. "The mentality that killed Yusif Gulo in Qamishlo and Merwan Bedel in Shengal continues to carry out new massacres.

The Turkish state is looking for a way out of the crisis it finds itself in by attacking its surroundings. It is trying to overcome the economic crisis it finds itself in with coward attacks. It cannot go on with its bankrupt policy and, for this reason, it attacks the resisting people by resorting to the politics of revenge. The courage in these attacks comes from the silence of international powers. Russia and the International Coalition are partners in these crimes with their silence. The people must continue to protect their gains and protect the values of the revolution against such attacks. The struggle against all kinds of attacks by the fascist Turkish state should be widened."
