TEV-DEM's Foza Yusif: We won't give up our gains

TEV-DEM Executive Board Member Foza Yusif said that despite the extensive attacks it carried out, the Turkish state, has not been able to succeed: "We will not give up our gains".

The Rojava Center for Strategic Studies (NRLS) organized a forum on ethnic genocide attacks and the demographic change policies carried out by Turkish state and gangs in northern and eastern Syria.

The forum, held in the central building of the Workers Union in Rimelan (Qamishlo) will have 3 sessions and was opened by NRLS executives.

TEV-DEM Executive Board Member Foza Yusif made evaluations about the developments in the region. Yusif pointed out that the northern and eastern Syria was going through a very difficult process and said that the Turkish state, which was given the green light to attack by forces like the US andRussia, is guilty of ethnic genocide and demographic changes in the region.

'They haven't succeeded'

Yusif added: "No matter which attacks it carries out, the Turkish state won't achieve success. The Turkish state attacks aim at destroying the people's trust, they try to divide the peoples of the region. ISIS mercenaries attack the region in the name of Syrian migrants. Erdogan has tried to break our will for 8 years. We will continue to defend ourselves and our gains."

'We won't give up our gains'

Yusif continued: "Our people will never forget that the US and Russia have given the green light to Turkish attacks. Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî people are attacked in the name of religion. The Turkish state is a threat to all peoples. Our people will stand against what has been done in Serêkaniyê, Girê Spî and Til Rifat. We just have to remember the martyrs who gave their life for this land. We will not give up the gains of the martyr. We will protect these lands from the invaders, resist the attacks carried out by the Turkish state and mercenaries and win. If we unite, no power can stand before us."

The forum will end with a press conference in the evening.
