TEV-DEM urges to celebrate Newroz from balconies and in houses
TEV-DEM pointed out that the people should be careful and follow the measures adopted by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syrian to deal with the coronavirus emergency.
The Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) issued a written message to celebrate Newroz.
TEV-DEM said: "We salute all our fighters in the YPG-YPJ and SDF who resisted in the foothpath of the martyrs together with the people of Kurdistan, Mesopotamia and all the regions.
Newroz is the torch of the freedom struggle against oppression and the Mesopotamian peoples celebrate this day as a symbol of victory."
The statement added: "Newroz represents the solidarity of the oppressed peoples, the will to fight against dictatorial regimes, it is a statement of existence against those who seek denial."
TEV-DEM underlined that Kurds have been celebrating Newroz, from the mountains to the prisons, in all Kurdistan cities and around the world for millennia.
The statement vowed to "liberate all the lands occupied by Turkey, Afrin, Serêkaniyê, Gire Spî with the spirit of Newroz 2020."
