The occupying Turkish state continues to use war as a weapon against the population of North and East Syria. The Turkish state closed the Alouk Station in Serekaniye, which gave water to millions of people.
Xalid Elo, Director of Til Temir Water Authority, told ANHA: “Citizens are experiencing serious difficulties due to the cut of water supplies. We are at the end of Ramadan. The water in the water tanks is very low. We have to provide water for 140 villages and refugee camps. Conditions are getting worse every passing day. The Turkish state uses the Alouk Station as a weapon against the peoples of the region. Turkey wants to break the will of the people in this way. "
Citizens in the region are trying to meet their water needs using wells.
Elo underlined that the problem will continue as long as the occupation of Alouk Station by the Turkish state continues and added: “In addition to the closure of the water station, the level of the rivers has been lowered. All this is done in front of the eyes of a silent international community. I condemn the guarantor states in the region for keeping silent. Everyone should do their part and stop the crimes carried out by the Turkish state.”
