The PYD condemned the Turkish state's attacks on Kobanê and warned that the attacks would have dangerous consequences.
The General Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) issued a statement regarding the attacks carried out by the Turkish state and its mercenaries against Kobanê. Condemning the attacks targeting citizens, the PYD called for increasing the fight against the attacks.
The PYD said that the attacks took place before the eyes of the world and added that the violation of international law is watched in silence. The PYD said that the environment of trust and stability in Kobanê has deteriorated and added: "The Turkish state and its mercenaries continue their genocidal attacks against the peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria. These attacks aim at breaking the unity of the peoples. The world community is watching these attacks in silence. The so-called guarantor powers such as Russia and the US do nothing to stop these attacks. If the fascist AKP-MHP government is not held accountable, such attacks will continue."
The statement ended with the following remarks: "The PYD General Council strongly condemns the invasion attacks carried out by the Turkish state, which knows no borders. Such attacks not only prolong the Syrian crisis, but also disrupt the peace and stability in Northern and Eastern Syria. The world’s public opinion must take action to stop these attacks, before more dangerous consequences are experienced. The people of Rojava will not bow to any massacre and will not surrender to the invaders. On the contrary, they will do everything to protect the gains achieved thanks to the martyrs by increasing their struggle and resistance."
