The Turkish air force has carried out a serious wave of attacks on the Qamishlo canton in the autonomous region of northern and eastern Syria on Thursday night.
The air strikes, carried out by warplanes and drones, targeted infrastructure in Tirbespiyê, Çilaxa, Dêrik, Girkê Legê and Amûdê, as well as in the city of Qamişlo.
In Tirbespiyê (Al-Qahtaniyya), one person was killed in an attack on a gas station in the north of the city. In Amûdê (Amuda), two people were injured in the bombing of the village of Xirbê Xoy.
In Dêrik (Al-Malikiya), fighter jets attacked the power station in the town of Teqil Beqil. A power plant was also hit in Sêgirka Dero near Girkê Legê (Al-Muabbada), and fighter jets also bombed a gas station in Çilaxa, further south. An animal feed factory in Qamishlo was also targeted.
The death toll resulting from the Turkish military violence in the past two days is at least eleven and the number of injured is ten. According to the Asayîş, the Internal security authority, the victims include five dead and eight injured civilians; all other victims are personnel from the emergency services.
In addition to important infrastructure, three Asayîş facilities or locations were also attacked.
