Thousands of people are staging a march in Kobanê to protest against the crimes against humanity committed in Afrin which remains under the occupation of the Turkish state and allied jihadist mercenaries.

Banners held by the demonstrators read “No to demographic change in Afrin”, “Liberation of Afrin is Syria’s emancipation from terror and Turkish occupation”, “We condemn the international silence on what is being done in Afrin”.

People of Kobanê are chanting slogans saluting the Resistance of the Age in Afrin and also demand freedom for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan who is held in aggravated isolation by the Turkish regime.

Marching through the main streets of the city, the crowd will join a rally at Jina Azad (Free Women) Square where executives from the Kobanê Canton administration will speak.
