Thousands of people in Shehba pay tribute to HPG guerrilla Çiyager Qehreman

Thousands of people gathered in Shehba to pay tribute to HPG guerrilla Çiyager Qehreman.

A memorial service was held for HPG guerrilla Xelîl Hemo (Çiyager Qehreman) at the Berxwedan Camp in the Fafin district of Shehba. Thousands of people attended the commemoration organized by the Martyrs' Families Council for Çiyager Qehreman, who fell as a martyr in Garê on 13 August.

Mihemed Welo, from the Martyrs' Families Council, made a speech at the ceremony that started with a minute’s silence. Drawing attention to the sacrifices of the martyrs, Mihemed Welo said: “We would not be here today without the martyrs. We must never forget the blood of our martyrs. We must always fight for their struggle."

Kongreya Star member Gule Mihemed said that the people should be vigilant against conspiracies and added: "The enemy wants to occupy the whole of Kurdistan. We must be vigilant against attacks aimed at destroying our people. Each of us must know the enemy's games and plans very well."

Criticizing the KDP's partnership with the Turkish state, Gule Mihemed said that the KDP betrayed the Kurdish people.

Speaking on behalf of the Afrin Autonomous Administration, Arif Şêxo pointed out that the enemy is trying to destroy the heritage of civilization in Kurdistan.

After the speeches, Emine Bakir, from the Democratic Society Education Committee, read the identity information of the martyr and delivered it to her family.

The family of martyr Çiyager Qehreman joined the commemoration ceremony which ended after the speech of Çiyager's cousin, Nebo Mamo.
