Thousands of people, from all sections of society, living in Qamishlo have rallied against the attacks carried out by the Turkish state in Shengal.
The thousands who gathered at the Sewamai Crossroads in the Antariya neighborhood carried YPG and YPJ flags, as well as photos of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the Shengal Yazidi Coordination member Zeki Şengali who was martyred in the attack, on 15 August.
The people walked chanting slogans against Turkish president Erdogan.
After a minute's silence, Mezlum Yusif on behalf of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, addressed the crowd.
Yusif promised that the people will follow on the same road opened by the martyrs, and then commended Martyr Zeki Şengali.
“Kurds are not new to massacres and attacks, - said Yusif - and the attack on Shengal is yet another conspiracy against the Kurdish people”.
Yusif called on the governments of Iraq and South Kurdistan to clearly speak out against the Turkish state attacks.
