The gangs of the occupying Turkish state set fire to agricultural lands in the village of Yalanli in Manbij.

 While the fire is still ongoing, fire brigades continue their intervention to bring the fire under control. Reports say that the fire is moving towards the settlements due to the wind.

The Manbij Military Council responded to the attacks on the region within the scope of legitimate defence.

According to the reports from the ground, 3 mercenaries were killed as a result of the response. A vehicle loaded with heavy weapons was also destroyed.

Just two days ago, attacks by the occupation forces killed a woman and injured five other civilians in the Manbij region.

In the meantime, the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Manbij Canton made a statement regarding the incessant attacks of the occupying Turkish state.

The statement read by Ayat Dendel, Co-Chair of the Manbij Canton's Executive Council, said that the Turkish state has entered the stage of targeting the livelihood of the Syrian people by bombing and burning agricultural areas. “Canton residents are determined not to leave their lands. We will continue to defend our region against attacks,” it underlined.

On the other hand, the occupying Turkish state and its gangs bombarded the Um El Qura village of Shehba with howitzers.

Manbij is located 30 kilometres south of the Turkish border and occupies a key strategic position in Turkey's plans to expand its illegal occupation zone in Syria. The city, which is administered by the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES), is located on the important M4 highway, which runs through northern Syria like a lifeline and was a strategic supply route for the terrorist militia "Islamic State" (IS). Since Manbij was named by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as the primary target for a new invasion of northern and eastern Syria in 2022, the war of attrition against the city has intensified. Attacks by the Turkish army and allied jihadist militias as well as infiltration attempts are occurring almost daily. Since the beginning of the season, farmland and forests in Manbij have also been burning almost every day.
