Tribes from Afrin call for resistance against the Turkish army

Opinion leaders of the tribes from the occupied Afrin region called on concerned parties and guarantor states to fulfill their responsibilities as Turkey threatens to invade more territories in Syria.

Sheiks and opinion leaders of the Kurdish and Arab tribes from the Turkish-occupied Afrin region released a statement in the Fafin district of the Shehba Canton concerning the Turkish state’s occupation attacks and threats against North-East Syria.

The statement in the name of sheiks and opinion leaders was read out by Ekrem Bekir who called on all honorable personalities and tribes in Syria to stand against the Turkish occupation army.

“These attacks are carried out with the ultimate goal of occupying more of our lands and instigating unrest in the region,” said the statement and called on everyone to support the tribes in Afrin in response to the Turkish state’s policies of Turkification and demographic change in Syria.

The statement called for the unity of all peoples, urging concerned parties and guarantor states to fulfill their responsibilities.
