ANHA news agency has published information on nine civilians from Afrin, who were abducted and arrested by Turkey as alleged "YPG fighters".
At the beginning of September, the Turkish state spread the "success story" of having captured nine YPG fighters and brought them to Turkey. The Turkish media then released the photos of the abducted persons. In a statement, the YPG Command announced that the abductees were civilians unrelated to the YPG.
Rojava based ANHA news agency has found out and published the identities of those captured by the Turkish state. It thus came out that the abductees are residents of Omera village in Afrin’s Mabata district.
It also became clear that the 9 civilians in question remained in their village after the occupation of Afrin by the Turkish state and its militias and had no connection to any political or military structures.
