The inhumane practices of the occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries, such as kidnapping, torture, harassment and rape against civilians, continue in Afrin.

A source from the district of Shiyê in Afrin said that the "Sultan Suleyman Shah” mercenary group linked to the invading Turkish army kidnapped many civilians from the villages of the district. It was learned that Mîkayil Mihemed (34) was kidnapped on 25 November, while Nûrhan Kêlo (55), one child and 2 women, Cozfîn Mihemed (35) and Cofan Ehmed (14) were kidnapped on 27 November.

In addition, Bekir Reşolîk, the headman of Şiyê district, was kidnapped by the mercenaries in return for 500 dollars of ransom.
