Turkey’s attacks on Kobanê and Girê Spî continue

Turkish occupation forces and their jihadist proxies have intensified their attacks on Kobanê and villages in the west of the occupied city of Girê Spî (Tal Abyad) for the past three days.

According to reports from the ground, the occupation forces have bombed further areas in the western countryside of Girê Spî early this afternoon. The aggression targeted the villages of Erîda, Cirin, Qezelî, Zenobya, Hiriye and Ehmediye and the eastern countryside of Kobanê.

On Saturday, the occupation forces launched a wave of artillery attacks against villages located between Kobanê and Girê Spî after the attacks that targeted Kobanê city centre and left two people injured.

The villages of Qeremox, Xanê, Til Hacib, Serzori and Gultepe, located between Kobanê and Girê Spî, were targeted by intense artillery fire. The attacks claimed the life of civilian İbrahim Şerif from the village of Xanê and injured at least 11 other people who included a 4-year-old.
