The people of Dirbesiye said they don’t accept the “safe zone” Turkey wants to set up in Northern and Eastern Syria and that Turkey wants to destroy the Democratic Nation system with this attempt.
The people of Northern and Eastern Syria and political groups in the region are protesting the “safe zone” Turkey wants to form as the country continues the invasion attacks and threats against the region. Regional officials say the “safe zone” Turkey touts aims for an invasion and that new massacres are inevitable through this path.
“A NEW METHOD FOR INVASION”
The people of Dirbesiye protested Turkey’s invasion attacks and threats against the Northern and Eastern Syrian regions and said Turkey is testing out a new method for invasion with the “safe zone”. A district resident named Ebdilwahab Xelef said Turkey is trying to take over the areas they failed to invade in the region through the “safe zone” and continued: “Turkey wants to carry out more massacres in the region, like they did in Azaz, Afrin and Idlib.”
“WE DON’T ACCEPT TURKEY’S SUPERVISION”
Fehed Eyo said they don’t accept a safe zone under Turkish supervision. Eyo condemned the silence of the Syrian regime and international human rights organizations against the rights violations in Afrin by the Turkish state and their allied gangs.
Another resident named Shaha Shexi spoke about the rights violations in Afrin and said, “As if his crimes in Afrin were not enough, Erdogan wants to play a role in Northern and Eastern Syria through this ‘safe zone’. We do not accept an area under Turkey’s control, never.”
“THEY WANT TO DESTROY THE DEMOCRATIC NATION SYSTEM”
Resident Mihemed Mesum said that with the safe zone, Erdogan wants to destroy the democratic nation system formed under the fraternity of peoples in Northern and Eastern Syria. Ibrahim El Eli pointed out that the plans for the safe zone aim to revive ISIS.
