Warplanes of the invading Turkish army bombed the position of Syrian Popular Forces in the village of Kefer Cene in Afrin’s Shera district Saturday morning.
Reports suggest that the bombardment resulted in casualties among fighters of the Popular Forces.
Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor a Kurd teams have been dispatched to the scene of the bombardment to take care of the wounded.
The Syrian militia has been deployed in border areas of Afrin since February 20 to protect the borders of Syria.
Mihemed Al Ferec, commander of Syrian Popular Forces militia group, said in a recent interview that 10 Popular Forces fighters were killed and 8 were wounded in Turkish airstrikes targeting Afrin. Accordingly, 9 of the fighters were killed during Turkish bombing in Jema village in Shera district. Another fighter was killed in Kefar Sefra village.
