Several Yazidi men and women were abducted by the invading Turkish army and their allied gangs as they went to work in the olive groves in the Qîbar village in Afrin center.

One of the abducted women is Hemîde Shêx Henan.

BURNING TREES

Local sources say Turkish soldiers and their allied gangs set fire to the trees around the hill in the Shera district’s Meydanke hamlet. The gangs are stopping people from fighting the fire.

The invasion forces had recently set fire to the trees and cultivated lands around the Hawar Mountain.

The invasion of Afrin started on January 20, and the city center was invaded on March 18. There have been systemic war crimes and human rights violations in all occupied areas. There have been news of executions, torture, robberies, pillaging, harrassment and rapes almost every day during the invasion attacks in Afrin.

Amnesty international had issued a statement in early August and mentioned the severe human rights violations in Afrin and said Turkey, which they dubbed the “invasion forces”, is responsible for these acts. Human Rights Watch had issued a statement in mid-June and announced that Turkey-backed groups were confiscating private property of Kurdish civilians and pillaging in Afrin.
