The Turkish state continues its attacks in an attempt to invade Afrin Canton of Northern Syria since January 20.
Turkish army has bombed Merka and Karxe villages in Afrin’s Mabata district on Tuesday. As a result of the attacks, Şêx Mihemed Elûş (75) died in Merka and Esed Izet (50) in Kexre village, while an 86-year-old man by the name of Abdullrehman from Merka village got wounded.
According to figures announced by the Health Council of Afrin Canton on March 4, at least 212 civilians lost their lives so far and these include 28 children and 25 women. Attacks left 612 people wounded, of whom 76 are children. The toll got even heavier with recent attacks resulting in massacres.
