Turkish army opens “corridor” on Efrîn border

The invading Turkish army has been threatening to invade Efrîn, and has now opened a corridor across from the Efrîn canton to facilitate the passage of soldiers and military vehicles.

Hawar News Agency (ANHA) reported that the area with two thousand olive trees in the Baliya village of Efrin’s Bilbile district has been invaded by the Turkish army and the trees have been uprooted. A wall has been put up across from the village and the Turkish army has opened a corridor across from the olive grove to facilitate the passage of soldiers and military vehicles.

The invading army had opened a corridor in the Mele Xelil village in the Cindires district last year and in Shiletete village in the Shera district this year.

The number of watch towers on the border in the villages with the corridors has increased.
