Turkish army shelled Manbij and Bab villages 80 times in a single day

The Manbij Military Council reported that the Turkish army shelled the villages of Manbij and Bab in northern Syria at least 84 times on December 28.

In a statement, the Manbij Military Council Press Centre said that the Turkish attacks on Tuesday directly targeted civilian settlements and agricultural lands.

“On December 28, the occupying Turkish army bombed the al-Sajur line, the al-Yalni village in the east of Bab and the Fewaris and Qert Weran gardens from its military bases in the El Şêx Nasir, El Şiwêha, El Zerzûr regions in the east of Bab. 16 mortar shells were fired against the areas in question,” the statement said.

“The occupying Turkish army also shelled the villages of El Eseliye, El Camusiye, Um Edese, El Seyade, and El Dendeniye in the northwest of the city from its military bases in El Yasli and El Kerbecli. These villages were shelled about 68 times. 16 artillery fires hit the villages of Hemsenli and Ereb Hesen. DShK heavy machine guns and light weapons were also used during the attacks,” the statement added.
