The explosion of a mine planted in a car claimed the lives of 45-year-old Xalide Mihemed Şerif and her 24-year-old son Ednan Silêman near the bus station and the post office in the Enteriye neighborhood of Qamishlocity on Wednesday morning.

A week ago, on 22 August, a building of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) was targeted by a Turkish drone, which resulted in injuries.

Last week, Qamishlo was bombed twice by drones, with further attacks taking place near Dêrik and in Afrin.
