According to ANHA, the villages of Hoşan and Mealik in the west of Ain Issa are being bombed with heavy weapons. In the village of Cedîda, civilians have been injured. Artillery attacks are also taking place on the M4 highway. At the same time, surveillance drones fly over the centre and west of Ain Issa.
Ain Issa was the seat of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria until the Turkish invasion in October 2019. Meanwhile, the town is one of the constantly attacked targets of the Turkish occupation forces and their Islamist mercenaries. Turkey wants to expand its zone of occupation and is conducting a permanent "low-intensity war" in northern Syria to wear down the population. In the villages around Ain Issa, many people continue to brave the attacks. However, many families have left the region due to the permanent danger to their lives.
