Turkish supported gangs clash for control over border gate

Oncupinar border gate was controlled by members of Sultan Murad Brigade and the gang members were collecting taxes from the truck drivers who bring goods to Shehba.
Members of Jabhat Al-Shamiye, another Turkish supported gang, attacked the Sultan Murad Brigade on Saturday and took control of the border region, ANHA News Agency reported.
Local sources say that at least three members of Jabhat Al-Shamiye and one member of Sultan Murad Brigade were killed.
The Oncupinar border gate closed by Turkey after the clashes.
It’s reported that Sultan Murad Brigade and Al Hamza Battalion massed their forces around the border gate and positioned in Um Celud and El Hemran villages.
Oncupinar border gate is five kilometres north of Azaz town. It’s the only international trade route for north Shehba region which is under Turkish supported gang’s control.
