Two HRE fighters martyred in Afrin

HRE fighters Mazlum Nêrebiyê and Şervan Dîgor were martyred in an attack in Afrin two days ago.

The Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE), founded in 2018 after the occupation of the northern Syrian region, announced the martyrdom of two fighters on Wednesday.

"On May 26, two of our companions were martyred in enemy attacks in the village of Merenaze in Shera district,” said the statement published by HRE on Friday.

Regarding the martyrdom of Mazlum Nêrebiyê (Xalid Elwawa) and Şervan Dîgor (Yusif Bekîr), HRE said, "Our companions Şervan and Mazlum have fought selflessly against the occupiers since their participation in our ranks until the last moment and have fulfilled their duty and responsibility with great sacrifice. They never accepted the oppression of our people and the occupation and fought against it in the front line. As HRE, we promise to avenge our martyrs and bring the occupiers to justice. We commemorate all the martyrs in the person of Şervan and Mazlum and express our condolences to their families and our people."
