Two ISIS members arrested in Heseke countryside

Two ISIS members were arrested and several weapons and military equipment were confiscated during a joint counter-terrorism operation in Heseke countryside.

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement providing information about a counter-terrorism operation in northern Syria two days ago.

According to the statement, SDF Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT), along with the Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the International Coalition forces, conducted a joint security operation, on June 14th, targeting one of the ISIS terrorist cells in the village of al-Sabkha, the southern countryside of al-Hasakah.

Based on precise information, the joint forces raided the place where the terrorist cell was hiding.

The SDF stated that the operation resulted in arresting two terrorists who were responsible for smuggling the ISIS terrorists and supplying them with weapons to conduct terrorist acts targeting SDF forces and civilians.

Several weapons and military equipment were also confiscated during the operation, said the SDF, adding: “Our forces are committed to continuing their joint security operations against ISIS terrorist cells in the region until they eradicate ISIS terrorism and bring safety and security.”
