In a security operation, the Counter-terrorism Units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) dismantled an ISIS terrorist cell in the al-Loizyia village, eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside. The terrorist cell was planning to target civilians and terrify the people of the region.
The SDF Media Center said, “Based on precise intelligence information, our forces raided the hotbed of the terrorist cell and clashed with them after they refused to answer the call for safe surrender. As a result, two terrorists were killed and two others were arrested. In addition, two Ak 47 guns, one pistol, one hand grenade, and a sum of foreign currency (dollars) were confiscated.”
SDF vowed that, “Our Counter-terrorism operations will continue in the region to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS and to maintain the safety and security in the region.”
