The Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in the Cizire Region held its annual meeting on Friday with the participation of 200 delegates from the cities and districts of Cizire region under the motto “Let's fight for freedom”. The meeting was held at the Reşo Hall in Hesekê.
The meeting, which started with a minute of silence, was chaired by Newroz Hec Eli, one of the administrators of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement of the Cizire Region, Besma Mihemed, an executive member of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in Hesekê, and Niştiman Hesekê, an executive member of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement.
Speaking here, PYD (Democratic Union Party) Co-Presidency Council member Foza Yusif addressed the political situation in the country, the special war waged against the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the role of revolutionary youth in organizing society.
“ The youth movement should be vigilant in all respects. They should strengthen the youth organizations and frustrate all plans. Organizing the revolutionary people's war should be undertaken by the revolutionary youth in particular,” Yusif said.
'UNITY OF PEOPLE SHOULD BE REINFORCED'
“People must be warned about the special war that is being waged in our territory. The purpose of the special war is to provoke the regional actors against each other and to create civil strife among the peoples. What we can do against this is to explain and organize the revolutionary people's war. The last conspiracy against the region could not have been defeated without the cooperation of the people with the SDF,” Yusif said.
“Young people, especially women, should be trained for the use of weapons. Units of the Social Defence Forces should be strengthened, all circles of society should be made aware of the danger we are facing. We should organize ourselves and our forces, strengthen the SDF and increase the number of its fighters,” Yûsif continued.
'ISIS WANTED TO ELIMINATE AUTONOMOUS ADMINISTRATION'
The PYD official also remarked on the latest ISIS attack on the Sinaa Prison. “It was a large-scale conspiracy to cause strife among the main components of the region. They were planning to free ISIS prisoners in Sinaa Prison and declare their victory through the loudspeakers of the mosques. Their next step was to free ISIS members staying in the Hol refugee camp. They would thus overthrow the democratic nation project and the Autonomous Administration,” she said.
'WE SHOULD REACH OUT TO ALL CIRCLES’
“We should reach out to students, shepherds, workers and every young man and woman to organize so that the enemy forces do not manipulate them. There must be fixed targets to gain a victory. Young people should also take part in all activities, not only political but also social,” she added.
After Yusif's speech, a video about the international conspiracy against Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan was screened.
Afterwards, the annual report of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement of the Cizire Region was read out and discussed.
