The health center in Erisha Refugee Camp located to the south of Heseke is providing health services to approximately 350 people every day.
This year temperatures in the northern Syrian region have been higher than the seasonal temperatures and this meant an increase in various diseases.
Refugeess in the Erisha Camp are also those who are most affected by the challenging conditions of camp life.
Ali Ezedîn, a refugee who talked to ANHA during its visit to the camp, told the agency’s reporters that refugees have caught typhoid due to the high temperature.
An elderly refugee named Beraa Hisên said that in the past few days has been going to the health center every day to get treatment.
The health center in Erisha Camp has several departments, internal medicine, gynaecology, pediatric service and first aid.
The health center staff inspects an average of 350 patients every day, and most of the patients indicate that they suffered from hot weather related diseases.
Heyva Sor a Kurd member, Ciwan Ebdo, said that health workers are working 24 hours a day to meet the needs of patients and that diseases are often caused by not paying much attention to hygiene especially in the hot weather.
Erisha Camp, located some 30 km from Heseke, was opened by the Democratic Autonomous Administration on 1 June 2017.
