Women in Kobanê, Hesekê and Aleppo came together in various activities to celebrate 8 March, International Women’s Day.
Women in Kobanê, Hesekê and Aleppo came together in various activities to celebrate 8 March, International Women’s Day.
Hesekê Education Directorate and School Administration opened an art exhibition as part of the events held on 8 March. The exhibition included 35 paintings depicting the suffering of women and their resistance and struggle.
A delegation from the Assyrian Language Academy, Hesekê Canton General Directorate of Education Teacher Training Institute, students and teachers attended the exhibition.

Til Temir Municipality Women's Office also decorated the main streets of the district. Kongra Star members also visited the checkpoints and presented flowers to the Internal Security forces. PYD Women's Council visited the district and military institutions.
KOBANÊ
Syria Future Party Euphrates Assembly organized a celebration in Sirin district on the occasion of International Women's Day.
Many women attended the celebration held at Sirin Culture and Art Center.
Syria Future Party Sirin Assembly said in a statement that important steps were taken for women in the world, and underlined the importance of 8 March saying that it is "the product of women's struggle against patriarchal consciousness in the historical process. Women have proven themselves in the revolution in Rojava and Northern and Eastern Syria."
