Women's organisations condemn Turkish attacks on children and call on UN to act

In a statement for the children killed in Turkey's attacks, the Sara Organization and Kongra Star demanded that the UN fulfil its responsibility.

In the attack carried out by Turkey and its affiliated paramilitary structures with an Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle against Northern and Eastern Syria on 18 August, 4 young girls were killed and 11 other children were injured. Condemning the attack, the Sara Organization and Kongra Star called for the massacres to be stopped.

Fereh Mihemed Bisês from Sara Organization, during a press statement in Hasekê, expressed her condolences to the families of the murdered children and wished a speedy recovery to the injured ones. She said: "The UN is responsible for the attacks that are occurring. The UN must stand by their word and denounce Turkey's crimes. We call on all human rights organizations to act and prevent child massacres."

'End Turkey’s dirty policy'

Fehîma Ehmed from Kongra Star said: “A dirty policy is being implemented against the will of the people. All states consider their own interests first and ignore close en eye on Turkish dirty plans. We call on everybody to stop keeping this attitude and expose the genocide and massacre plans. As women, we are conscious and aware of our duty, we will protect the revolution, we will fight, we will not allow colonialism.”
