Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) Executive Board chair, lham Ehmed, said that women should join forces against the ISIS mercenaries and their mentality and participate in a stronger way to the Autonomous Administration system.
Sada Feysal al-Harmoush co-chair of Al-Dashisha civil council and her deputy Hind al-Khedr were kidnapped and brutally murdered on 22 January, in the south of Hesekê Canton. ISIS claimed responsibility for the kidnapping and murder of two women politicians two days later.
Speaking to the ANF, Ilham Ehmed said: “ISIS is trying to hit the Autonomous Administration, which is the administrative system that provides an opportunity for women's liberation through the building of a democratic society and a change of mindset. ISIS prevents women's liberation and advancement and imposes its dark authoritarian system on women. ISIS knows that women are the most interested in the Autonomous Administration, they participate and unite around it.”
Ilham Ehmed emphasized the need to take side and stronger stance against ISIS dark mentality. “All women, especially those in the areas of North-East Syria, should join hands against these attacks. Women should join forces against these dark forces and participate in a stronger way to the Autonomous Administration system. Women should increase their participation in the YPJ in response to this massacre. Men should also join forces and show their stance against ISIS."
