A group of women working in Autonomous Administration schools launched an aid campaign called "Solidarity is mine" in April 2020 to help families in a poor financial situation. The campaign was organized by three teachers and a committee of 11 people was formed.
The committee found the families in need and listed them. 200 families have been assisted so far within the framework of the campaign. Today, with the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, 4 families were provided with an oxygen machine. The campaign ensures that monthly money is transferred to families. Children were bought clothes for special holiday days. While 15 million Syrian lira has been given to families so far, food and health aid to families amounted to approximately 8 million Syrian lira.
Talking to ANHA about the campaign, Talin Abdullah said: “When we saw the situation of the families, we felt we needed to help them. 50 percent of the teachers participated in this campaign. Aids are collected through social media. We help not only families in need but also students. We send students with psychological problems to a special school. We are currently supporting 5 students. Our campaign continues to grow.
