The invading Turkish army continues to attack the Medya Defense Areas with warplanes, heavy weapons and chemical weapons, since 23 April, and has used chemical weapons 157 times in a 5-month period.

Eşrefiye and Şêxmeqsûd Young Women's Union made a statement with the participation of its members in front of their office in Şêxmeqsûd.

The statement said: "We condemn the invading Turkish army's attacks on the mountains of Kurdistan, its use of chemical weapons, and the silence of the international community against these attacks.

Where are the human rights defenders? Where are the world peace organizations? The Turkish state violates all international laws. By using poison gas in Medya Defense Areas, it proves to the world every day that it is fascist and hostile.

We promise to stand by our comrades in the mountains of Kurdistan against the fascist Turkish state and to follow in their footsteps.

We reject the hostile crimes committed by the fascist Turkish state in the mountains of Kurdistan and in the areas where the guerrillas live."
