In a written statement, the YPG Press Center announced that its fighter, Tekoşer Afrin fell as a martyr.
The statement remarked: “Our comrade Tekoşer Afrin fell as a martyr in Aleppo on 12 December 2020.”
The statement added: “Heval Tekoşer was born in Afrin to a patriotic family. Comrade Tekoşer grew up with patriotic feelings that increased together with the development of the freedom struggle during his childhood and youth. Comrade Tekoşer joined the ranks of the struggle and took his place in the defense of his country. Comrade Tekoşer took an active role in the Epochal Resistance against the occupation. With his participation and determination, he has always been a representative of the militant line. Comrade Tekoşer fell a martyr while undergoing surgery on 12 December, after fighting for two years with his injuries.
We commemorate all the martyrs and freedom fighters of the resistance in the person of Martyr Tekoşer. We extend our condolences to the family of the martyr and all our patriots.
