236 fighters have completed a 45-day training and officially joined the 11th Regiment of People’s Defense Units (YPG), named after Martyr Sozdar Kurdistan who fell a martyr during the Operation Cizire Storm to liberate Deir ez-Zor countryside from ISIS.

The establishment of regiment was declared with a ceremony attended by YPG/YPJ fighters, commanders and families of fighters.

Speaking during the ceremony, Efrîn Defense Council President Behcet Ebdo congratulated on the establishment of the regiment and said; “The defense organization of Northern Syria people is of great importance in this fragile process we are being through.”

Ebdo vowed to march on the path of martyrs for victory and freedom, and called upon youth to join the regiments to defend their land and honor.

Following the speech, the fighters took their oath.
