People’s Defense Units (YPG) declared the 8th regiment in Efrîn Canton.
234 fighters of the People’s Defense Units (YPG) have completed the Martyr Bahoz Efrîn training session to form the 8th regiment of the YPG. During the training session that lasted 40 days, the fighters received military and ideological classes.
The end of the training session was marked with a ceremony and the ceremony ground was decorated with Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s images and flags of the YPG and YPJ (Women’s Defense Units).
President of Efrîn Canton’s Defense Council Behcet Ebdo held a speech and celebrated the declaration of YPG’s 8th military regiment. Ebdo stressed that they are always ready against all attacks.
Following a military ceremony, the fighters took their oath and chanted slogans saluting the YPG/YPJ resistance.
Bahoz Efrîn, after whom the training session was named, had fallen a martyr fighting against the gangs under the Turkish army in Cindires region of Efrîn.
