According to local sources, a YPG fighter blew himself up to avoid capture by Turkish invaders after he fought until the last bullet in Jindires.
YPG sources said that details of the incident will be made public soon.
Jindires and nearby villages are heavily bombed by the Turkish army and heavy fighting erupted between YPG/YPJ fighters and Turkish soldiers in the area.
In a statement SDF gave the following information about the clashes in Jindires:
“Invading Turkish army and the terror groups continue to bomb the area with howitzers and warplanesi killing civilians.
The bombing of the area intensified on Wednesday and continued until the evening. At 21h00 warplanes and Cobra helicopters heavily bombed Jindires. Thursday morning Turkish army resumed the bombardment of the area.
There is heavy fighting between our forces and the invading Turkish army in Jindires.”
