The invasion threats of the invading Turkish state and its affiliated gangs against the Efrîn canton continue. Attacks on Efrîn are launched without pause from Azaz with tanks, mortars and howitzers. These attacks are not aimed at the YPG fighters in their emplacements alone, but also directly aimed at civilians in these last days. The fighters of the YPG are responding to the attacks of the Turkish state and its gangs. The YPG combatants who are frustrating the invasion attacks are also fortifying their emplacements at the border to Azaz.

YPG fighters who are stationed in emplacements one kilometre away from Azaz, spoke to ANF and stated that the people need to be reassured, as they will never allow the Turkish state and its gangs to invade Efrîn and Shehba.

One of those combatants of the YPG in those positions is Mahsum Efrîn who said the following: "We are right now in a place called Villa Kadi. Azaz is merely one kilometer away from us. We are in the last emplacements in between. The Turkish state has conducted repeated attacks to destroy these emplacements of ours. After facing our resistance, they retreated and started bombarding us every day with tanks and howitzers in an attempt to discourage us. We are confident in our emplacements. These attacks do not harm us. After understanding that these artillery attacks won’t harm us, the occupiers resorted to bombarding the civilian settlements with tanks. The people of Efrîn and Shehba shall be assured. As long as we are in these emplacements, the Turkish state will not be able to realize its intended invasion. On the contrary, we will even combine the Kobanê-Efrîn line."

YPG fighter Kahraman Efrîn who is positioned in the same emplacement as Mahsûm Efrîn stressed that they have foiled the invasion attempts, saying: "The Turkish state has made countless efforts of invasion through this route. Our resistance frustrated those attacks. The Turkish state continues with its enmity against the Kurdish people and does not want the Kurdish people to gain even a smallest right at all. We will not just wait for attacks from the invading Turkish state, we will strengthen our system.

Defeat is no option, resistance will continue until one single Kurd remains alive. As we defend our lands, the people of Efrîn are standing with us in every way. Efrîn's people shall rest assured in their homes, these emplacements will never be crushed."
