People’s Defense Units (YPG) Press Office released a statement detailing the actions carried out by their units against the occupation forces in Afrin.
The statement said the following;
“During the third week of August, within the scope of the second phase of the Resistance of the Age, our units carried out two separate military operations against the mercenaries allied with the Turkish occupation forces in Afrin’s Mabata and Bilbile districts.
On August 19th, on the road leading to the Mabata district, our unit ambushed one of the mercenary of the Levant Front (Jabhat al-Shamiya), Muhammad Arduan. As a result, the terrorist was killed.
On August 24th, our unit set up another ambush, this time on the road leading to the Bilbile district, targeting the mercenary Khalid al-Taher of the al-Sham Division (Faylaq al-Sham). Nicknamed Abu Muhammad al-Shamali, he was responsible for the checkpoints set up by the occupier forces in the Bilbile district. As a result of the attack, the terrorist was killed and his weapon was confiscated.”
