YPJ fighter Şervin Ebas laid to rest in Dêrik

YPJ fighter Şervin Ebas, who fell as a martyr while on duty, was laid to rest with a ceremony held in Martyr Xebat Dêrik Cemetery.

YPJ fighter Şervin Ebas (Şervin Ekin), who fell as a martyr while on duty in Girkê Legê, was buried in Martyr Xebat Dêrik Cemetery. A minute's silence was held when the remains of Şervin Ebas, taken by a convoy from Martyr Hogir Hospital, reached the cemetery.

Speaking at the ceremony, YPJ Commander, Kurdistan Ehmed, expressed her condolences to the family and friends of Şervin Ebas and said: “The enemy is trying every way to break the will of the Kurdish people and the peoples of the region. We take our strength from our martyrs and we will resist any attack.”

Speaking on behalf of the Martyrs' Families Council, Wense Shawiş said: "No sentence will be enough. The martyrs’ efforts are more meaningful than any word. Thanks to them, we live freely on this land today. We will protect their legacy."

Martyr Şervin's father said: “I am proud of my daughter. My daughter sacrificed her life for her people. We promise to follow the path of martyrs”.

The identity information of Martyr Şervin was then read and handed over to her family.
