Women’s Defense Units (YPJ) Spokeswoman Nesrin Abdullah spoke to Hawar News Agency (ANHA) regarding the attacks of the invading Turkish army and affiliated jihadist groups against Afrin Canton of Northern Syria, ongoing since January 20.

Abdullah said, ”The Resistance of the Age has entered its 37th day. With the support of the people, fighters of the YPJ/YPG and SDF are mounting a great resistance against the invaders.”

Abdullah pointed out that the Turkish army that is attacking with heavy weaponry and chemical weapons banned by NATO has not been able to take a step into the lands of Afrin in the face of the people’s will.

Stressing that the Afrin resistance and people’s will has established the unity of all Kurdish people, Abdullah said; “All the world and people of Kurdistan are supporting and embracing the resistance in Afrin.”

YPJ Spokeswoman pointed out that; “Kurdish women became the freedom symbol for all world’s women.”

Nesrin Abdullah added; “As YPJ, we salute the people in Afrin resistance and the Kurdish people giving a struggle. We promise to keep our fight going. YPJ will become a symbol of success in Afrin like it did in Kobane.”
