Peace Mother Şükriye Kızıldağ has been under custody for two days despite her advanced age and health issues.
Kızıldağ is among 12 people who were detained on October 7 during the police raids in İzmir and Manisa provinces where Turkish police raided the Aegean Association for Solidarity with the Families of Prisoners and Convicts (EGE-TUHAYDER), the Religious Men Solidarity Association (IDAYDER) and the Anatolia Association for Solidarity with the Families Who Lost Their Relatives (ANYAKAY-DER).
The lawyers said that while the detention period has been extended, they could not receive information about the investigation due to the confidentiality order on the file.
The lawyers added that their clients will start giving statements to the police on Monday.
Ahmet Kızıldağ, son of 70-year-old Peace Mother Şükriye Kızıldağ, said that his mother contracted skin cancer in 2018.
Ahmet Kızıldağ added that his mother suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes. He called for his mother’s immediate release.
