In addition to Democratic Autonomous Administration officials, a large number of people joined the farewell in Derik, accompanying her coffin from Weteni Hospital to the cemetery in her last journey.
The funeral at cemetery began with a military ceremony. Speaking after on behalf of the internationalist brigade, Paramaz Hesinkar and Çiyager offered their condolences to the family of the YPJ martyr who -they recalled- fought for the co-existence of peoples during her lifetime.
Jineology (Women’s Science) Center member Ronahî Sozdar remembered her friend by pointing out her fight for freedom, saying that Lêgerîn had promised to protect the honor of all humanity.
Following speeches, Assembly of Martyrs’ Families announced the martyrdom of YPJ fighters Sûzan Umer (Sarîna Zagros) and Evîn Mihemed (Alîf Dêrsim) in the Resistance of the Age.
Following speeches, Lêgerîn Çiya was laid to rest.
