7 female prisoners in Sincan Closed Women's Prison in Turkish capital Ankara have gone on an indefinite-irreversible hunger strike to condemn the Turkish state forces' genocidal attacks on Nusaybin's Xerabê Bava village and the prison conditions of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The prisoners announced the beginning of their hunger strike yesterday through their lawyers, stating that their protest will continue until the siege in Xarabê Bava is lifted.

The inmates have also reported their hunger strike to the Ministry of Justice.
