Feminist writer Silvia Federici said: "We can't accept that women like Aysel are kept in prison. Aysel Tuğluk deserves our admiration and respect. Aysel Tuğluk deserves to be free."

Federici joined the campaign 1000 women for Aysel Tuğluk. In a video posted on the campaign’s Twitter, she said: “I stand in solidarity with the thousands of women who expressed their indignation for the incarceration of Aysel whose only crime was to seek a solution to a decades-long conflict.”
