Internationalist fighter Ivana Hoffman, nom de guerre Avaşin Tekoşin Güneş, in the ranks of the MLKP (Marxist Leninist Communist Party) has lost her life in clashes with ISIS gangs in Til Temir.

MLKP said in a written statement that communist fighter Hoffman from Germany, of African origin, was martyred in an attack of ISIS gangs on the joint emplacements of MLKP and YPG-YPJ in Til Temir at around 3 am on 7 March.

According to the MLKP statement, Avaşin Tekoşin Güneş, who was born in Germany on 1 September 1995, has been taking an active part in the battle in Rojava for six months, and served in various emplacements in Cizire Canton, fighting to repel the attacks of ISIS gangs.

The statement said that Avaşin has taken her place on the front lines against the bloody attacks of ISIS on Syriac villages in Til Temir which -it added- remains on the target of ISIS gangs after the defeat they suffered in Til Hemis and Til Barak.

MLKP said that Avaşin alongside with YPG-YPJ fighters fought until the last bullet after their joint emplacement was raided by ISIS gangs, managing to halt their advance and writing a heroic epic in the battle field."They strenghtened the barricade of freedom and honour against the ISIS attacks in Til Temir, defeating the gangs' plan to take Til Temir and Heseke and to perpetrate further massacres", it said.

The MLKP statement underlined that comrade Avaşin's greatest dream was to take part in the struggle in Turkey and North Kurdistan after the Rojava Revolution, adding that; "Her dreams are our dreams, her path is our path and her memory is our honour. Comrade Avaşin Tekoşin Güneş is immortal."
