JINNEWS released its figures regarding violence against women for the month of July. The women’s news agency said that 21 women and 4 children were murdered in July, while 22 women and 2 children lost their lives under suspicious circumstances.

According to the figures: 1 woman was murdered by a man she was in the process of divorcing, 4 women by their ex-husbands, 2 women by their son, 1 woman by her partner, 1 woman by her sibling, 1 woman by a man she was separated from, 1 woman by a man she did not know, 6 women by their husbands, 1 woman by her father, 1 woman by an acquaintance, and 2 women by a man who was her relative.

The cities where women were murdered were listed as follows: 2 in Elazığ (Xarpêt), 1 in Kütahya, 1 in Adana, 3 in Istanbul, 3 in Malatya (Meletî), 1 in Karaman, 1 in Adıyaman (Semsûr), 1 in Siirt (Sêrt), 1 in Erzurum (Erzirom), 1 in Giresun, 1 in Kayseri, 1 in Kocaeli, 1 in Edirne, 1 in Gümüşhane, and 2 in Mersin.
