The Coordination of the Communities of Young Women (KJC) launched a new campaign under the motto "Jin Jiyan Azadî, Serbixwe Azadî" (Women, Life, Freedom, Let’s Win Freedom!).

In a written statement, the KJC Coordination stated that the aim of the new campaign is to organize, protect and make the women's revolution permanent through the leadership of young women.

The statement released by the KJC Coordination on Monday includes the following:

CRITICAL PROCESS

“The current situation is very critical for our people, our movement, women and youth. The year 2023 is even more critical and decisive for all oppressed peoples and women. Attacks against our leader, our movement, our people, women, youth, and all of humanity keep escalating. In order to frustrate these genocidal attacks, the outstanding resistance of Öcalan, our Freedom Movement, the guerrillas who fight heroically, especially in Zap, Metina and Avaşin, the women and our patriotic people is moving towards victory. In particular, the male-dominated mentality and its nation-state institutions seek to destroy society through femicides based on fascist policies. Attacks against women are carried out in an organized way. Rape, harassment, assimilation, violence, restriction of living spaces and working opportunities of women are genocidal attacks against the whole society. The fact that young women have been targeted, murdered, abducted, raped and shot by policemen, soldiers, paramilitary groups and private war departments in the recent period shows that youth and women are the most targeted groups.

JIN JIYAN AZADI

It is a fact that the truth and philosophy of ‘Jin, Jiyan, Azadi’ [Woman, Life, Freedom] led by young women has defied all these genocidal attacks and male-dominated systems. Our leader's democratic, ecological, pro-women paradigm has become universal and inspired all the peoples of the world, especially women. After the murder by the morality police of Mahsa Amini, a young woman from Rojhilat (Iranian Kurdistan), the landmark motto ‘Jin, Jiyan, Azadi’ has become the hope of women worldwide. This world-embracing motto has determined the struggle method of the 21st century. When Öcalan said that “the century will be the century of the women's revolution”, he showed us the way to revolution and a free life, heralding good news to all oppressed peoples.  

YOUNG WOMEN WILL LEAD THE CAMPAIGN

On this basis, the campaign "BI JIN JIYAN AZADİ RE BER BI SHORESHA JINÊ!" (WE ARE MOVING TOWARDS WOMEN'S REVOLUTION WITH ‘JIN JIYAN AZADI’)" initiated by the KJK is of historic importance for young women. This campaign will stop femicides and ensure the physical freedom of Öcalan. Hence, it is a revolutionary victory move under the leadership of women. It is the enthusiastic young women who will lead our movement’s campaign with the responsibility, role and mission shaped by its historical and social identity.

We are thus announcing to all freedom-loving and patriotic young women that we have decided to run a young women's campaign with the motto "JIN JIYAN AZADİ, SERBIXE AZADİ! ("WOMEN LIFE, FREEDOM, LET’S WIN FREEDOM!"). Our campaign aims at women’s freedom by revealing women's colour, creativity, dynamism and energy. The aim of the new campaign is to organize, protect and make the women's revolution permanent through the leadership of young women. The campaign will determine the line of radical activism, including actions for the physical freedom of Öcalan under the leadership of young women.

A HISTORIC RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL YOUNG WOMEN

It is a historic responsibility for all young women's organizations in four parts of Kurdistan and Europe and pro-freedom women to turn all public spaces into an area of resistance and hold the fascist powers to account. It is a historic duty for all young women. This year, March 8, International Working Women's Day, has a different historical role and mission for us. On this basis, we call on all young women to participate in this process with the spirit and enthusiasm of revolution. This is a historic revolutionary mission that Öcalan has given us! Young women have the strength and will to achieve it if we do not postpone our historic responsibilities. Let’s stay focused on victory and win freedom with Jin Jiyan Azadi.”
