Kurdish women fighters raised flag over Raqqa
Kurdish women fighters for Women’s Defence Units (YPJ) raised the organization's flag over Raqqa.
On 91st day of the operation to liberate Raqqa YPJ fighters raised Kurdish women’s flag in the city center.
The flag now flies over the 23rd Street in Old Raqqa neighborhood. Provoked by the flag, ISIS fighters carried out attacks against the YPJ positions but Kurdish women fighters defended the area.
Although ISIS snipers are constantly firing to take down the flag, the symbol of YPJ continues to fluctuate over Raqqa.
